A rainy day

Thursday was a rainy day. We didn't know it was going to be. That is what we get for not checking the weather. However, we had planned to go to the movies so it was a perfect activity to fit the weather. Aliens in the attic. Not so much. I thought it would be a cute movie but it didn't hold my interest and judging by John's activity level he didn't get into it either. There were only about 4 other people there so it wasn't a big deal. The rained poured while the movie played and when it was over the sun was back out. We made a quick stop at Target and then hopped over to Dale Jr.'s race shop so we could see if any changes were made since last year and so Jordan could drool over the wax figurine of Dale. :) HA! Off to elementary school for open house. The open house was good. We didn't seem to find out a whole lot of information but we did meet Ella's teacher and see the school. She was very excited to show everyone "her" school.

Jack gave it two thumbs up. She starts Tuesday. It will be a full day Tuesday and Wednesday and then off until Monday. We are set....well, except she doesn't have her backpack..or school supplies....or a new outfit for her first day. I think i am putting it all off in hopes it will delay the inevitable. After the open house the girls went shopping for Jordan a dress and the boys went home with Eric to do boy things. I think they laid around the house. Ella and i took funny pictures while Jordan tried on her dresses. She found a beautiful one. She is so pretty in it. Then Jordan drove us home. Another full day of fun.

* I did get a call from Tina, Ella's gymnastics teacher. She wants Ella to try the MIGHTY mites. This will be a lot like the MINI mites but the girls will be older. Older like 8ish. It is a two hour class, twice a week. We are going to try it on Tuesday and see how it goes. 4 hours a week? I am secretly hoping it doesn't go well. :)
