Slow start

So i am a little slow getting back into the rhythm of blogging. I know i will enjoy getting back in the groove but we are busy and, well, it is just going to take some time. It doesn't help that i also maintain our work blog. Two blogs...whew. it also hasn't helped that we have had a drastic temperature change here in sunny South Florida. Can you believe it was only a high of 74 the other day? It quickly found its way back into the 80s. Thank goodness. HA. With cooler nights comes colds. so we have a few with light coughs and one with a little more congestion than i care for. Then Eric came home from all his travels and started running a fever. Strep. Caught it quickly and by the grace of the good Lord no one else got it. That is a miracle in itself. Colds are clearing up and we are getting ready to head North for Thanksgiving! So many things to be Thankful for.

The last time

The last time i was on my blog was, well, a long time ago. There had even been a point when i tried to catch up on the months of activities i had failed to write about. Turns out my anniversary post made it to the blog in Febuary. That is almost a year later. Honestly, life is kicking my butt right now. I wish i could say it was the gym doing the butt kicking.

Once again we find ourselves in the same position that we were in that warranted the beginning of this blog. We are currently living in Naples, FL....again. It is beautiful here but it is so far away from everyone. No promises this time but i will try to keep our blog updated from time to time.

The last time you saw pictures of Ella was actually Mother's Day 2011 despite the date i actually got around to posting the pictures. Flashback.........

 Ella May 2011

Flash forward to Halloween 2013.......

Ella is in 4th grade this year and still says she loves school but according to her teachers she is a daydreamer. I hope she is dreaming big. Sewing, reading, dancing (in her own style), bossing her brothers around, and generally pretending she is in charge are her hobbies these days. She marches to the beat of her own drum. She is still super sweet and we haven't reached the girl-i-tude i hear is coming. For that i am grateful! She is a genuine joy. We are closing in on her 10th birthday. I just don't know if i can handle it.

Stay tuned for updates on the boys and if you are lucky you might get an update on Eric and i too.

Happy Anniversary

May 15th, Eric and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. So much happens in a year and when we put seven together it feels like we have accomplished and experienced 2 lifetimes worth of adventures. I look forward to many many more.

Mother's Day Surprise

Flash back all the way to MAY! Yes it is true i am that far behind. Sorry about that but life is always in my way! :) Aunt Sherri and Uncle Raymond flew in to surprise my Grandmother for Mother's day. We met them at the airport and followed them over to Mississippi. Wasn't that a great gift. I hope my kids do stuff like that when i get older.

At this point i thought she might be having a heart attack.  I think she thought the same thing. HA.

I have been told most of my life that i am just like my Aunt Sherri. That could be quite dangerous for the rest of you. HA.
We had an amazing time visiting with family.
