Baby Boy Brackin!

Yes, you read right. BOY! We could not be happier. He was beautiful. All the measurements were great. He was 5 ounces and his heart, head, spine and parts all looked good. I know that all of you thought it was going to be a girl. Sorry, the good Lord had other plans. :) All of you know that Ella was set on a girl. She was a little upset at first but seems to have gotten over it now. She will be as great a big sister to this baby as she is to Jack and John. We look forward to all the sporting events, face it, we will be able to have our own in the back yard with all the kids! We also look forward to seeing what all they can come up with when they are left in a room to play, what trouble they will get into together and all the fights i get to referee. :) Ella will still dress them up as princesses i am sure. And when the house full of boys becomes to much for Ella and i to handle we can escape together. Having three boys will make my life so much easier. When we split up to do boy and girl stuff i only have one, Eric has three! I guess that is what he gets for making boys. :) Now the question becomes what to name him? Eric is holding on to Buck, Colt, Cotton, Grover, Henry and James. We both like Benjamin and i still have Joe and Fraser on my list. Any suggestions?

John's 15 month check-up

John had his 15 month check-up today. He was fantastic. Looks very heathly and into everything. He was 21 pounds and 30 inches long. A little on the small side but so is Ella. Very smart. It is a task trying to hide something from him. He loves to play with Jack and Ella. He doesn't realize they are older and bigger. They, however, do. :) He does his best to keep up. He has lots of teeth and more coming in. He seems to eat everything in sight. He got one shot today but was fine with that. We go back in December for the 18 month check up. Time flys. We had a wonderful weekend. The game was awesome! I don't mean Auburn. I promised Eric I wouldn't talk about that anymore. ROLL TIDE! We go to the Doctor in the morning for the anatomy ultrasound on the baby. They will check everything out and i will post everything when i get home. At this point we still aren't finding out the gender. We could change our mind so get your vote in. I see out of the 10 that voted all think it is a girl. Wishful thinking i guess. We just want it to be healthy. I guess we will see. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Love,

Ella goes to gymnastics

Wow, i am starting a pattern here. Sounds like a line of children books. Ella this, Ella that. None the less, today was all about Ella. At least she thought so. We signed her up to start gymnastics last Friday and so that of course meant she would have to get sick Thursday night. Bad for her...worse for me. I attempted to allow her to go for a glimpse and turn in her registration but no chance at participating (i have a "no fun with a fever" policy). I must also say that since jack and Ella are attached at the hip...he too was sick. On our way to check out the gymnastics place, we stop for lunch. The one place they thought they could eat...also the only restaurant in their vocabulary....McDonald's! As i begin to place the order Jack throws up on Ella. She was okay for a moment only to then throw up twice. Jack had one more go as we were almost home so the trip for registration and a sneak peek was a no go. One week later we were all eager to see the class. We were there 7 minutes EARLY! Yes, that is a big deal. We had time to do a little shopping even though we were fully prepared and it was not necessary. We are girls, what can i say? Now that class is starting she is totally ready, new outfit and all. She had a wonderful time. Jumps into the foam pit, bounces on the trampolines, swinging on the rings and a rope, forward flips down a ramp, backward flips over a circle and walking up a wall to a partial hand stand. Too much for one little girl to take in at one time. Eric, who will be referred to as daddy occasionally, did get to come for the last part of the class. Her face was priceless when she saw that he was there. She is so excited about going back. Jack, however, is not as excited. He cried as she went in because he couldn't go. That leads us into looking into a class for him. Other than that Jack and John ate. I met a few nice ladies. One is due with her third on March the 11th. She is like 3 times bigger than i am. I mean in the belly. I hope she is having twins. Then we grabbed a bite of lunch with Eric which is always nice and headed home for my favorite time of day...NAPS! Have a wonderful weekend!

Note: I know the pictures are not that great but i had to take them through glass. The boys felt a little left out so i snapped a few pictures of them too!

Ella goes to the dentist

Today was Ella's first trip to the dentist. Yes, i realize i am almost two years behind on getting her there. Anyway, we did make it. I had scheduled to take Jack but the nurse told me he was not quite old enough so maybe next time. Her appointment was at 11. That happens to be our lunch time! I am not quite sure what i was thinking when i said that time was fine. We started school early to ensure we would be on time. I was supposed to be there 15 minutes early for the whole paper work exercise. We made it there 5 minutes early thanks to the grace of the GPS on my phone. I never thought my phone would be so handy. Ella was excited. They got her back and cleaned her teeth which she thought was the best. She then had x-rays and saw the dentist and told him "Roll Tide"(he was a Georgia fan). He followed a short talk about the SEC by telling me she had two cavities. Uh-oh! Turns out as hard as it is to floss between the back two teeth it is necessary. I might choke her trying to get back there but we will be flossing. She goes back in November to get them filled. She was really excited about going back and wearing the Mickey Mouse nose with the laughing gas. I do have to say if he told me i was getting the gas i would be excited too. Wes and i had inhaling down to a science. It was too good to waste. I know my mom is proud right now. :) Overall, Ella got an abundance of praise for her attitude, manners and cooperation. She was the greatest patient. I do have to say i was a very proud Momma walking out (even though she had two cavities). Hopefully, the boys will love the dentist as much as Ella does.

Ella goes shopping

As i go to get the kids dressed to go out I realize that my kids have grown significantly. Dang! Why can't they stay the same size???? Anyway, that leads me to the inevitable shopping trip. Just so happens I have a wonderful neighbor who told me about a kids consignment sale going on for a week. So, we went. It was my first consignment sale. I was impressed at the amount of good quality clothes available for a quarter of the price i would pay at the store. Well, i did pick up a few good things and because the kids were so good i let them each pick out a few items for themselves. Jack picked out the basic boy stuff...John Deere hat and Lightning McQueen pajamas. Ella, however was another story. Ella picked out some pajamas (I hope they are pajamas because she isn't wearing them out) and a lovely jacket that looks like a dead purple chinchilla. I thought i would get away with the jacket being a "dress up" but that hasn't worked so far. Maybe she is just a little more fashion forward than me.

Note: This is my first blog. I am sure that in this and many blogs to come there will be spelling, grammatical and punctuational errors. I may even make up my own words. Sorry, I have three kids and i am in a hurry. :) Enjoy the funny stories and even the not so funny ones.
