6 Months

Baby Ben is 6 months old today. Yes, this is an occasion i have experienced 3 times before but this is the only time i get to experience it with Ben. I am not one for celebrating these dates but i would like to take a minute and reflect because this time passes so quickly, especially with 4. He was 1 week old when we moved into this house. Seems like it was yesterday. Of course Ella is starting kindergarten and i feel like i had her yesterday too. He was so small. Such a good baby. Ate well, sometimes a little too much. A great sleeper. So tiny. Fast forward to today. He is very talkative. I guess he has figured out early that he has to speak loudly for everyone to hear. He is sitting up, rolling over (back to tummy), eating 3 meals a day, still nurses like a pro, sleeps upstairs in his crib from 8 or 8:30 until 6ish, and is getting his 2 bottom teeth. One has come through and the other is not far behind. He loves his walker and can move himself around the kitchen. I understand that walkers with wheels are a big no-no these days but i am not worried about him pulling the refrigerator over on himself just yet. He loves his bath and his brothers and sister. Everything goes in his mouth so we have to make sure he doesn't try to eat the dogs when they sit next to him. When he is happy he is a delight. When he is mad.....give him to his momma. :) He is a blessing and more beautiful than i ever could have imagined. My Uncle Keith calls him Lucky. He says it is because he is lucky to be here. I think i am the lucky one. Not just to have him but to have all four of my beautiful, well mannered, polite, caring, considerate, sharing, loving, loud, wild, crazy, adventurous, helpful, mini-tornadoes that i call my kids. 6 more months and i am baby free! What am i saying, they will always be my babies. :)
