Nerves

So it was September 14th and all the kids were in bed. I couldn't contain my nerves. I mean in a few days we would know whether we had a house or not. Well, they were reviewing our file. Last time they reviewed our file it was another 10 days before we had any news and it wasn't really good. I hop on the MLS to look at it and all its pictures, and dream i guess. While i was on there i started looking at all the houses i hadn't seen before. That was a bad idea. By the time i was finished i had a list of about 10 other houses. None were in Clanton and one i REALLY liked. I mean it sounded to good to be true. I e-mail my list to Eric to see what he thinks. The next night we talk about all the houses. Do i send it to our realtor? How do i explain to her that i am still looking at houses when we already have an offer in? I send it to her Thursday morning. She slowly starts sending me responses to each house. I couldn't take it anymore and i called to ask about the one house in Alabaster i really liked. She looks, i wait. She said we could take a look at it, but lets wait to hear about shorty first. I trust her. I mean she was my sunday school teacher when i was little. Thursday afternoon she calls and says we can go then or on Friday morning. Turns out they would let us know about shorty in another day....or so. I vote for right then. I felt like the drive took us out to nowhere. We pull up to the house and as soon as i walk in I am in love. Wes meets us there and i just don't want to leave. Obviously i have too. :) I took videos and sent them to Eric and we decide to make an offer on this home.

Problem....it is a foreclosure, there are already two offers, more offers coming and my realtor was leaving Saturday morning to go on her annual scuba trip to HONDURAS!! I am not opposed to vacations but this was the worst time for me!! We had to put in our highest and best offer up front and pray. I was pretty stressed for the next week. What would i do if our offer was accepted for the house in Clanton? Did i wait to hear about both or just take it? Mid-week shorty starts asking for more paperwork. Paperwork they already had but they wanted again. UGH! Make a decision! Friday comes and my realtor is being evacuated from Honduras because of a hurricane. How can she be traveling on the last day of the work week. I mean i needed her to have access to her phone and e-mail all day in case there was some news. Can you tell how edgy i was? Eric flew in and no news, but our realtor made it to Miami safely. About 10:30 Eric and I were laying in bed debating about going to see the Alabaster house and i ask him to hand me my phone. I just wanted to check my e-mail one last time. BAM! There it was. The e-mail i had prayed about. I mean i prayed and prayed hard. It is always easier when the Lord opens a door and closes another. That way i don't have to worry about choosing the wrong one. There was no news about shorty but they had accepted our offer on the Alabaster home. Turns out there were 5 or 6 offers and it was a great deal with everything we wanted to do to shorty and move in ready. I knew the Lord had blessed us. I asked and he gave. For the record I asked for it IF it was in his will. HA! I jumped on the bed and went and woke my mom up. I am sure i scared her to death. Now, on to the inspection, appraisal, loan process and hopefully closing! I have watched to much HGTV and know that this contract can fall apart at any minute so now i pray it all goes through and we can start moving in soon.

What neighborhood might this be? It looks just like the neighbor one of my friends lives in in Alabaster.

The house is in the Saddle Lake Farms subdivision. I never knew Alabaster had so many developments. :)
