Weekends

Now that we have our stuff in storage and are getting settled we have had a few fun adventures.

First CCHS football game. It was the alumni band night. The kids loved it!

The must see/ride Galleria carousel.

After the move, our new surroundings, and all the adventures the kids (mainly Ben) have had some behavioral problems. I am sure it is all the excitement/ lack of routine and stability/ lack of sleep but i might just lose it. Example, shopping trip to Wal-mart and on the way home John quietly slipped out of his seat and made his way to the back of the car. This is how i found him.

Like i said before, Ben has been the most challenging. Biggest problem is he runs away from home. Somedays i don't blame him. Seriously though it is a HUGE safety issue. I keep close enough tabs on him to only be a minute behind but that is long enough for something bad to happen. Where does he go, you ask. Well, once i found him up the street getting picked up by my neighbor so she could return him, he goes over and into our neighbors home when she leaves her doors open ( she LOVES it) and today he walked over to ride the lawnmower with another neighbor. We live on a dead-end street and have known our neighbors since i was little but still. I am sure at this point you are thinking, why don't you just lock the door. Well, i did. I keep the house locked up like Ft. Knox. Poor Mom has to ring her own doorbell to get in her house for lunch. Since the doors were locked, he started crawling out the doggie door and under the garage door that is left cracked for the dogs. Now the dogs are on lock down too. Just when i think we have it under control...he learns to unlock the doors! Geez. i would put child locks at the top of the doors or chain locks but since this isn't our home, not an option. Now i just have to stay attached to him all day, everyday. When he can't get out he finds other things to do, like play with my hair wax.

Why can't he cut me some slack and come do school work with Jack and John???AGHHHHH! I finally lost it and just beat them all. Well, except Ella. She was probably at school. :)

I just keep telling myself it is only temporary. Only a few more days until they review our file on Shorty. I am getting real tired of this short sale waiting game.
