I am not a fan of libraries. I mean, i guess it is because i don't read. I don't really have the time. I will admit most of my childhood memories of the public library revolve around brown carpet, musty smells, and story time. Probably not a good way to start off. But this is what i remember..
Then i grew up and upgraded to this one....
The Ralph Brown Draughon Library at Auburn University. I went there a couple of times. I stayed lost most of the time. :)
Then as i got older and wiser i upgraded to this one...
The Amelia Gayle Gorgas Library. Have you ever seen a more beautiful library? I did use this library. I also got lost in it. Now that i am older, out of school and have kids I have no need for a college library and am now happy to downgrade to this public library.
The kids loved it and i can't wait to go back too. Any suggestions on your favorite books?

For you or for them? If for you, what kind of books are you into? I have TONS of suggestions for almost any genre. I'm a READER!!! (But I promise I won't offer any crazy hard suggestions - just quick, easy, good reads. We Mommy's can't do anything too hard in the 5 minute spurts we have!)
Ok, so some of my favorite mystery-type authors are:
*Sue Grafton - She writes the "alphabet books" - each one starts with a different letter of the alphabet. The latest is U. They're quick reads but still good.
*Daniel Silva - I discovered him accidentally and he is my FAVORITE! He writes about basically Israeli spies fighting the forces of evil in today's world. (Not a topic I would have thought I'd like, but they're REALLY good!!!)
*John Grisham, of course is always a good go-to.
*Sandra Brown - also pretty easy-reads, but usually really good storeis. I liken her to Mary Higgins Clark. (I've read all hers at some point throughout the years.) They're a bit patterned, but they're still good stories.

Oh, and you mentioned _My Sister's Keeper_. It's REALLY good. I actually like (and own) ALL the Jodi Picoult books.
someone was telling today that 'Shack' is a great book --when are you gonna have time to read!!!?
